COR3 will not be Related to Escape From Tarkov
Following the release of the first trailer for COR3, intense speculation began that the project was a space-themed Escape from Tarkov-like project, or even directly connected to it. The atmosphere, tempo, and some visual references in the trailer reinforced this perception, while the silence of those associated with the project only fueled the claims.
COR3 Does Not Belong to the Escape From Tarkov Universe
Nikita Buyanov, the central figure in the discussions, confirmed in a short but clear statement on social media that COR3 is neither from Battlestate Games nor connected to the Escape from Tarkov universe. Buyanov emphasized that the similarities do not imply a deliberate universe connection and that COR3 is a completely independent project.
With this statement, claims that COR3 is a “space version” of Tarkov have largely lost their validity. It’s stated that some references in the trailer are limited to style and narrative language, and there’s no official connection to the story or gameplay. Buyanov’s statement aims to prevent false expectations about the project.
On the other hand, Buyanov specifically mentioned that the development process of Escape from Tarkov has not been disrupted. Planned updates, expansions, and long-discussed DLC projects are still under development. This indicates that COR3 is not a project to replace Tarkov.
Currently, very little is known about COR3. Aside from the short trailer and interactive website, no official gameplay details or release window have been shared. However, with this latest statement, it’s clear that COR3 will position itself with its own identity and consciously separate itself from being overshadowed by Escape from Tarkov.
