Ice Age: Boiling Point is Here with It’s First Trailer
Ice Age: Boiling Point is preparing to bring the long-running animated series back to theaters. The first teaser trailer released by 20th Century Studios shows Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and Buck embarking on a much hotter, more dangerous, and chaotic journey this time. While the familiar humor of the series is retained, the story centers around melting glaciers, erupting volcanoes, and prehistoric creatures returning from underground.
Ice Age: Boiling Point Brings Back the Dinosaurs
The film’s detailed official plot has not yet been shared, but the first trailer and the film’s title largely reveal the direction of the story. The icy world where our heroes live is facing a serious melting threat this time. This naturally brings to mind the adventure in the second film of the series, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, but the danger in the new film seems much greater and more active.
As the trailer reveals, a massive volcanic eruption is behind this melting. The eruption not only threatens the glaciers but also brings dinosaurs hidden underground back to the surface. Thus, Manny, Diego, Sid, Buck, and Ellie must both save their world and contend with unexpected new predators.
The voice cast is also packed with names that will delight long-time fans of the series. Ray Romano, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Simon Pegg, and Queen Latifah return to their iconic roles. The cast also includes familiar names such as Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Adam Devine, Sean William Scott, Wanda Sykes, and Nick Offerman.
John Donkin directs the film, while the screenplay is written by an experienced team of Michael Wilson, Michael Berg, and Yoni Brenner. Lori Forte also retains her role as producer. Aimed at blending humor, action, and nostalgia, Ice Age: Boiling Point will be released worldwide in theaters on February 5, 2027.
