Are more Silent Hill Remake games on the way?

Silent Hill 2 Remake is one of the most wanted projects from Konami, just like Capcom did, all Silent Hill fans wants to see the same treatment that Capcom made to their old school Resident Evil games.

Following years of rumors, leaks, and speculation, Konami officially announced the Silent Hill 2 remake, with the game being developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind modern horror games like Layers of Fear and The Medium. The Medium took heavy inspiration from Silent Hill, making Bloober Team a natural fit to remake Silent Hill 2.

The Silent Hill 2 remake is still without a release date, but fans will hopefully hear more information on that front sooner rather than later. In the meantime, there are some reasons which made us think that more Remakes for Silent Hill franchise are on the way.

As reported by VGC, Konami’s latest earnings report included mention of Silent Hill remakes. In its report, Konami discussed the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake and then added that it is also working on “remakes and completely new entries in the Silent Hill series.” It’s possible that the plural “remakes” was an error by Konami, but it could also be an indication that the company is going to remake more Silent Hill games than just Silent Hill 2.

If Konami would make this, it would make all horror game fans happy. The original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 3 are two games that are beloved by horror fans, even if they aren’t quite as popular as Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 4 has also become somewhat of a cult classic. It didn’t light the world on fire during its initial release, but many point to it as one of the scarier games in the series, and have praised its unique premise and deviations from the typical Silent Hill formula.

While it remains to be seen if Konami actually meant to tease more Silent Hill remakes or not, the good news is that there is plenty of Silent Hill content on the way. The divisive Silent Hill: Ascension is currently available, while Silent Hill f, the Silent Hill 2 remake, and Silent Hill: Townfall are all on the way.

It remains to be seen if these projects live up to the high bar set by previous games in the franchise, but many will be happy that they are getting new Silent Hill games.
