CD Projekt Red continues to strengthen its team for Witcher 4. The new Ciri-focused game is seen as one of the studio’s most ambitious projects to date, and the new additions to the team are attracting attention. According to recent information, Zdenek Glatz, who worked as a writer and level designer on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has joined CDPR. This development increases curiosity about the direction the new Witcher game might take in terms of open-world structure and quest design.
Witcher 4 Team Strengthens Open-World Design
According to LinkedIn, Zdenek Glatz began working for CD Projekt Red in May 2026. The experienced developer will serve as a senior open-world designer on the Witcher 4 project. Glatz’s experience in world-building, quest flow, and level design, particularly in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, reinforces the idea that CDPR is aiming for a more interactive world in the new game.
This isn’t the first time CD Projekt Red has added someone with a Warhorse Studios background to their team. The studio previously brought in Karel Kolmann, who worked on Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as a quest designer. This suggests CDPR is influenced by the Kingdom Come series’ realistic open-world approach.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was one of the most notable RPGs of recent years, thanks to its detailed world structure, quest design, and system depth. Therefore, the addition of someone like Glatz to the Witcher 4 team shows that the game can grow not only visually or technologically, but also in terms of world design and player interaction.
