Masters of the Universe Director Reveals She-Ra Plan
As Masters of the Universe prepares to bring the He-Man universe back to the big screen with a new live-action film, attention has naturally turned to She-Ra. Director Travis Knight made statements acknowledging the character’s importance in this universe but not explicitly stating her role in the current film. This suggests that Princess Adora could play a significant role in future projects, if not immediately.
Masters of the Universe Leaves the Door Open for She-Ra
Travis Knight stated he could say very little about She-Ra, but emphasized that the character has always held an important place in the Masters world and in Prince Adam’s story. According to the director, if there are more opportunities to tell stories in this universe, She-Ra could take on a very large role in the future. This statement suggests that the character is being considered directly in sequel plans.
Knight’s words also strengthen the possibility that She-Ra might not be completely omitted from this film. The director stated that they had discussed the character many times, but he couldn’t say whether she would be in this film. He also mentioned that there were major scenes cut from the film and that some parts he liked were removed during the editing process. This leads fans to wonder, “Could She-Ra’s scenes have been cut?”
She-Ra first appeared in the 1985 film He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword, and then gained a large fan base with her own animated series, She-Ra: Princess of Power. The character was later loved by a new generation of viewers with Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series. Therefore, her inclusion in the live-action universe could be a strong move for the Masters brand.
The new Masters of the Universe film stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam and He-Man. The cast also includes notable names such as Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Idris Elba, Morena Baccarin, and Alison Brie. The film is scheduled to be released on June 5, 2026. Even though She-Ra doesn’t appear in this adventure, Travis Knight’s statements keep the possibility of the character making a future appearance quite alive.
