Peter Pan Returns to the Fantasy World with a New Play
The magical world of Peter Pan is preparing to reconnect with gamers after a long hiatus. Manchester-based Second Star Games announced that it has acquired all the game rights to the Neverland universe and will develop new games under this agreement. The studio’s first game will be Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure.
Neverland Revives with the Peter Pan Game
Second Star Games co-founder Tom Stone, previously known for his 18-year tenure as the helmer of the LEGO series of games, stated that their goal for the new project is to create a similarly captivating interactive experience for young players and families.
Thanks to its agreement with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, the studio holds the long-term, worldwide rights to exploit the Peter Pan and Neverland universe. This means we’ll see not just one game, but many more Peter Pan sequels in the future.
Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure will be the first step in this journey. While details about the game haven’t yet been released, the development team promises to deliver an original Neverland experience fueled by “imagination and fairy dust.” The first concept images feature Tick-Tock, the giant crocodile, one of the unforgettable characters from the Peter Pan stories, signaling that the game will be a faithful adaptation.
Following the announcement, all eyes are already on the new information Second Star Games will share in the coming months. This project, which will bring Peter Pan back to life, already stands out as an exciting development for fans of fantasy worlds.
