Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 Console Release Date Announced

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, following its PC release, has also received a release date for console players. Mob Entertainment announced that the latest installment in the horror series will be released on May 27th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Originally released on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on February 18th, the chapter is now preparing to reach a wider audience.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 Will Escalate Fear on Consoles

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 takes players to even deeper and more terrifying parts of the Playtime Co. factory. This time, it’s time to confront the deadly puppet master behind the events. As players progress through the dark sides of the factory, they will face an even more intense struggle for survival as Huggy Wuggy hunts them down as their security system.

In this new chapter, players will continue their journey with very few people they can trust. They will encounter characters living in the shadows, bearing the painful scars of the past, and will constantly question whether these figures are truly helpful or a new threat. The sense of unease that the series loves is once again at the center.

On the gameplay side, new GrabPack vehicles and functions will be noteworthy. Players will use these new mechanics to solve more complex puzzles and overcome dangerous environmental obstacles. This new chapter of the factory seems to strengthen the exploration, suspense, and puzzle aspects, rather than focusing solely on jumpscares.

On the story side, dark secrets connected to The Prototype will take center stage. As the terrifying truths that Playtime Co. has kept hidden for years slowly come to light, players may encounter one of the most disturbing chapters in the series. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 will arrive on consoles on May 27th, opening the door for players who want to experience the nightmare from the comfort of their couch on the big screen.
