This product, which comes in a special Requiem-themed box, was offered for sale with a price tag of approximately 19,000 Japanese yen.

At first glance, the question of what a horror game has to do with a pull-up bar is inevitable. However, the campaign videos and promotional images, especially the scenes featuring the character Grace using the product, quickly spread on social media. In fact, one image showing the character hanging upside down from the pull-up bar was interpreted as a humorous detail referencing scenes from the game’s trailer.

What was unexpected was the sales performance. The Horrifying Nightmare Set sold out completely in less than five hours after its release. This instantly made the product a highly collectible item. The power of the Resident Evil brand and the limited production factor meant that even the unusual concept didn’t hinder sales.

In fact, the Resident Evil series has had unusual collaborations and products before. From that perspective, a pull-up bar might not be the strangest example in Capcom’s marketing history. Nevertheless, this special set created for Resident Evil Requiem has already been recorded as one of the most interesting spin-off products in the series.
