Silent Hill 2 has finally reached its anticipated release date for the Xbox Series X|S platform. A briefly visible update on the Microsoft Store revealed that the game would be released for Xbox on November 21, 2025. While the listing was quickly removed, the leak generated significant buzz within the community. Konami and Bloober Team have yet to make an official statement.
Silent Hill 2 Xbox Version to Release in November
A recently spotted Microsoft Store update provided the clearest information yet regarding the Xbox version of Silent Hill 2. According to the shared information, the game would be released for Xbox Series X and Series S consoles on Friday, November 21, 2025. The page was later removed, but screenshots confirm the leak. The game is expected to be available for purchase alongside both console and PC versions through the Microsoft Store.
Silent Hill 2 originally launched on PlayStation 5 and Steam on October 8, 2024. It was already anticipated that the game would be coming to the Xbox platform once Konami’s one-year exclusive deal with Sony expired. Furthermore, the ESRB’s October 31st rating of the Xbox version was the first official indication that this release date was imminent. The now leaked date has all but confirmed this expectation.
According to details on the Microsoft Store, the game will feature Xbox Series X|S optimization and next-generation performance features, along with high-resolution graphics. However, there’s no information yet regarding “Play Anywhere” support. This means it’s unclear whether players will be able to use a shared save system between PC and Xbox.
The arrival of Silent Hill 2 on Xbox is seen as a significant step forward, especially for fans of the horror genre.
