The 7th Guest Remake Announced

The 7th Guest, one of the cult horror and puzzle games of the 1990s, is preparing to reunite with players after many years. Developed by Vertigo Games and Exkee, The 7th Guest Remake will offer a completely redesigned experience with modern technologies. According to the announcement, The 7th Guest Remake will bring its mysterious story to next-generation platforms.

The 7th Guest Remake Returns with Modern Technology

According to information shared by the development team, The 7th Guest Remake is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. The game is planned to be released in 2026.

The story revolves around six guests invited to a dark mansion. The mansion’s owner, the mysterious toy maker Henry Stauf, is at the center of a dark force lurking within the house. Players will uncover the mansion’s secrets while simultaneously trying to decipher the identity of the “seventh guest.”

One of the game’s most striking innovations is its volumetric video technology. Real actors’ performances are recorded in three dimensions and embedded into the game world. This allows characters to be directly within the game environment, offering a much more cinematic narrative.

In addition, The 7th Guest Remake features completely revamped puzzles and enhanced visual design. Players will encounter increasingly difficult puzzles as they explore the mansion’s different rooms. The environment will also be constantly changing and dynamic, with hidden rooms and optical illusions keeping players on the edge of their seats.
