The First LEGO Pokémon Set has been Leaked
LEGO and Pokémon collaboration sets were officially unveiled in early 2026. However, a new leak has revealed a detail that has particularly excited collectors. Allegedly, LEGO’s new Pokémon set will include minifigures for the first time in the series.
Giant Poké Ball Set May Come with Minifigures
According to leaks, the new set LEGO is working on is called 72154 Poké Ball. It’s said to be designed as a giant Poké Ball model, revealing a small scene inside when opened. It’s also claimed that the set will include minifigures, but it’s not yet clear whether these characters will be humans or Pokémon characters.
According to rumors, the set will be priced at approximately $259.99 and will be released on August 1, 2026. There are two conflicting figures regarding the number of pieces. Some leaks state the set will consist of 2,239 pieces, while another source suggests it may be 2,339. The difference is quite small, suggesting it could be a simple reporting error.
LEGO’s first Pokémon-themed sets were notable for not including minifigures. Sets introduced in early 2026 included models such as LEGO 72151 Eevee, LEGO 72152 Pikachu and Poke Ball, and LEGO 72153 Venusaur Charizard Blastoise. Some smaller promotional sets were also given away in stores as part of gift campaigns.
However, these sets shared one common characteristic: none included minifigures, one of LEGO’s most iconic elements. Therefore, if the new Poké Ball set does indeed include minifigures, it could represent a significant change for the LEGO Pokémon series.
