What happens in Spider-Man 3?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 hasn’t been officially announced yet, but the ending of the second game and the information that has emerged since then clearly indicate that the series will continue strongly. The Spider-Man universe, created by Insomniac Games in collaboration with PlayStation, has raised expectations in terms of both storytelling and gameplay. Therefore, the biggest question on players’ minds is who will be prominent in Spider-Man 3 and in which direction the story will evolve.

What is Known and What is Rumored About Spider-Man 3

The scenes released after Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have already laid the groundwork for Spider-Man 3. Norman Osborn’s visit to Doctor Octopus in prison and the emphasis on the “final chapter” suggest that the Green Goblin is now inevitable. Norman’s personal vendetta against the Spider-Men after Harry Osborn’s tragedy points to a much darker enemy at the center of the story.

What happens in Spider-Man 3?

One of the most frequently asked questions by players is about Peter Parker’s fate. While the impression was that Peter would be relegated to the background at the end of the second game, Yuri Lowenthal, who voices the character, clearly refuted these concerns. It was confirmed that Peter Parker will play an active role in Spider-Man 3 and will not completely withdraw from the story. This suggests the game will revolve around both Peter and Miles Morales.

Leaks indicate that the Spider-Man universe will expand further in Spider-Man 3. Miles Morales’ meeting with Cindy Moon (Silk) lays the groundwork for a new Spider-Man character, and there are rumors that Miguel O’Hara may also appear in the game. The inclusion of the Spider-Verse theme through side quests or alternate storylines suggests that Insomniac could take the narrative to a much larger scale.

Regarding the release date, expectations are somewhat more cautious. With Marvel’s Wolverine set to be released in 2026, Spider-Man 3 is likely to be released no earlier than 2027, and possibly in 2028. This strengthens the possibility that the game could coincide with the PlayStation 6 era. In short, while Spider-Man 3 is still a long way off, the information that has emerged clearly indicates that the most ambitious game in the series is on its way.
