Wonderfall Demo Released

Wonderfall has launched on Steam with a compelling demo for fans of narrative-driven adventure games. Developed by Attaboy Interactive, the game reimagines 1920s Paris as a mysterious and decaying city slowly turning to sand. Wonderfall promises a calm yet intriguing experience by combining exploration, environmental puzzles, and character-driven storytelling.

The Wonderfall Demo is Playable on Steam

In Wonderfall, players control Leon, a young orphan who can control the sand. As Paris is swallowed by a mysterious force called Entropy, the city’s monuments, streets, and life itself begin to slowly unravel. Amidst this destruction, Leon must learn to utilize the city-consuming sand to both survive and understand what has happened to Paris.

The game’s world takes a much darker and more fantastical approach to classic Parisian landscapes. Players will be able to explore different areas, from crumbling subway tunnels to the sand-covered roofs of Notre Dame de Paris. Iconic structures on the Ile de la Cite and its surroundings will appear altered by the effects of Entropy. Each new area will offer new insights into the city’s past and the secrets behind the catastrophe.

In terms of gameplay, Leon’s sand-based abilities stand out. These abilities allow him to shape parts of the environment, hide from corrupted entities, and forge new paths through the ruins. Wonderfall offers a structure that prioritizes exploration and atmosphere, progressing through transition sequences and environmental puzzles inspired by third-person adventure games.

Attaboy Interactive states that the full version of Wonderfall aims for a 6-8 hour narrative-focused experience. The game will feature over 2,000 lines of dialogue, cinematic moments, environmental storytelling, and written notes scattered throughout the city. The demo offers a great opportunity for players who want an early look at this mysterious journey to Paris.
