AMD RX 9070 Faster Than 4070 Ti Super Under All Conditions
AMD’s new generation graphics card, the RX 9070, has shown impressive performance even in low voltage mode in tests. In tests conducted by famous overclock experts, it was seen that the RX 9070 maintained 90% performance despite the voltage reduction and easily surpassed the RTX 4070 Ti Super. It was also determined that the RX 9070 reduced its energy consumption by 30% in this mode. These results show that the RX 9070 offers a significant advantage in terms of performance-per-watt ratio.
AMD RX 9070 Performance Loss is Minimum in Low Voltage
In the tests performed, the voltage of the RX 9070 was reduced by approximately 100 mV to 770-780 mV levels. In this case, the clock speed of the graphics card dropped below 2.2 GHz, and 50 FPS was achieved in the Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark test. This result is only a 10% drop compared to the card’s 54 FPS performance under default settings, but thanks to the lower voltage, power consumption has been reduced by 30%, significantly increasing energy efficiency per performance.
With more aggressive undervolting, it was observed that the RX 9070’s clock speed increased to 2.4 GHz, and even went up to 2.95 GHz with a small power increase. In these tests, it was stated that the card’s FPS value reached 60, and this performance increase was quite close to the RX 9070 XT.
The test results show that the RX 9070 outperforms the RTX 4070 Ti Super even in low voltage mode. The RTX 4070 Ti Super reached 46 FPS in the same benchmark test, while the RX 9070 performed above this value. In addition, the RX 9070 consumed 200-220W of power in default settings, but this value dropped to 170W after undervolting.
These results show that the AMD RX 9070 not only offers high performance, but also stands out in terms of energy efficiency. Thanks to this flexibility offered by the card, users can optimize performance and reduce energy consumption. The RX 9070 stands out as an important option for those looking for a high-performance graphics card.
