Anime-style Roguelike Platform Game SlashZero Announced
Skystone Games and Streetlamp Studio have officially announced SlashZero, a new action platform game. Featuring anime-style visuals, SlashZero aims to provide players with a dynamic experience through its roguelike structure and fast-paced combat system. The development team states that they want the game to push the boundaries of the genre in both visuals and gameplay.
What Will SlashZero Offer Players?
According to the announcement, SlashZero is being developed for PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. The PC version will be released on Steam and Epic Games Store. While a release date has not yet been announced, a playtest is planned for the near future.
The game is described as a roguelike action platformer with anime-style 3D graphics. Players engage in fast-paced combat, gain new powers, and create their own play style by combining different abilities.
SlashZero’s gameplay features a fluid movement system. Players can run, jump, and move quickly through multi-layered maps, using parkour-like movements to navigate through enemies. The combat system is based on aerial combos, quick attacks, and tactical maneuvers.
The game also offers a variety of characters and numerous build options. Players can create hundreds of different character builds using systems like Authority Keys, Authority Blessings, and Authority Codes, allowing for a unique strategy with each playthrough.
On the story side, players travel through different timelines as members of a resistance group called the Timehackers. The goal is to eliminate the Null Void threat and stop the powerful enemy, HIEROS. Players will gain new powers in different timelines as they strive to save the world.
