Apex Legends’ New Map Didn’t Even Last Two Weeks

With the new season, Apex Legends maps, which were reintroduced into the rotation, aimed to offer players a different experience. The return of Storm Point, in particular, seemed poised to bring a fresh perspective to the game in both competitive and normal modes. However, things didn’t go as planned, and player issues quickly became a major talking point.

Why Was the Apex Legends Storm Point Map Removed?

One of the most frequent complaints from Apex Legends players was the crashing issues experienced on Storm Point. Players encountered serious problems such as the game suddenly closing during matches, and the situation quickly became a widespread issue. Respawn Entertainment then made a swift decision to temporarily remove the map from rotation.

The development team stated that Storm Point has been removed from both Ranked and Normal modes and will only return once a permanent solution is found. This suggests the problem may be too serious to be solved with a simple update. Currently, no specific return date has been shared.

Following the map’s removal, the rotation was changed again, and E-District was added back to the game. However, this has led to mixed reactions from players. While some players support this decision for a more stable experience, others feel the game has become monotonous due to the constant rotation of the same maps.

In particular, some players criticize the exclusion of Kings Canyon. Each map offers different gameplay dynamics, and the absence of Storm Point creates a noticeable void in terms of variety, further raising player expectations.

Despite all these developments, the game isn’t entirely stagnant. Apex Legends is still actively supported with new events and updates. However, the common expectation among players is quite clear: if Storm Point returns, it should do so smoothly and stably.
