The OD trailer will be full of details

Hideo Kojima, who has long remained silent about OD, has reignited curiosity with new statements about the game’s trailer. According to Kojima, the teaser released so far is not just a promotional video; it contains important clues about the nature of the game for those who watch carefully.

OD Trailer Reveals the Game’s Structure

In an interview with Nikkei Xtrend, Kojima emphasized that OD might appear to be a classic horror game at first glance, but the system used is far from the norm. According to him, OD is not just a game designed to scare; it aims to offer a completely different experience with its game language and narrative.

The OD trailer will be full of details

Kojima, stating that the trailer should be watched repeatedly, noted that particularly attentive viewers might have missed some details. The director pointed out that the teaser contains small but meaningful touches that hint at the game’s core concept, even if they aren’t directly explained.

Kojima also briefly touched on the game’s technical infrastructure, saying that everything runs on a game engine, but the resulting structure doesn’t resemble a classic game system. His implication that they are building “an entirely new medium” with Microsoft was noteworthy.

Kojima particularly emphasized the phrase “for all players and screamers” at the end of the trailer, stating that it’s a big clue. He avoided giving further details, saying it might anger Phil Spencer. However, it seems the OD trailer will take on completely different meanings when watched repeatedly.
