The Sims Project Rene has long been on the radar of players wondering about the future of the series. Initially thought to be The Sims 5, the project was later positioned by Maxis as a mobile-focused spin-off rather than the main series. Now, new images that have allegedly surfaced online seem to reveal some early details about The Sims Project Rene, such as character customization, interface, and explorable areas.
The Sims Project Rene Images Offer New Details
The leaked screenshots show The Sims Project Rene’s main menu, character creation screen, and sections where the player chooses their starting style. Since the images are claimed to be from an early development stage, they may not represent the final version. Nevertheless, for The Sims fans, these images seem to be one of the first concrete glimpses of the project, about which limited information has been available for a long time.
The leaked images show not only character screens but also some open areas that players can explore. A city square and park-like areas are visible, suggesting that Project Rene aims for a more social, navigable, and possibly multiplayer-oriented design, distinct from the classic Sims experience.
Previous rumors suggested the game would focus heavily on customization systems. Details like modular furniture, freely rotatable objects, and layered clothing options could aim to bring the creative side of The Sims to mobile platforms. However, Maxis has not yet confirmed these images, and no official release date has been announced for Project Rene.
Maxis has previously stated that Project Rene will not replace The Sims 4.
