Lies of P DLC News

Lies of P is a Soulslike game based on the classic tale of Pinocchio, set in a gloomy steampunk-inspired Victorian city named Krat. Not only was it one of 2023’s best Soulslike games, but Lies of P is widely considered to be the best Souls game not made by FromSoftware, the acclaimed studio behind Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring.

Lies of P DLC was officially confirmed with a piece of concept art shortly following the release of the game in September 2023. The art depicted the game’s protagonist aboard a crashed ship at sea with what appears to be the Northern Lights overhead. Though initially exciting for fans, the team behind Lies of P has been very quiet since the concept art was first shown. A Neowiz earnings report from earlier this year put a second half 2024 release window on Lies of P DLC, but nothing has been publicly confirmed by the studio.

On the first anniversary of Lies of P’s release, the game’s director, Jiwon Choi, took to Twitter with a letter celebrating the special occasion, thanking the assisting studios Nough and Round8 Studio and letting fans know the team is still hard at work on Lies of P’s DLC and sequel. While the letter didn’t divulge any new key information about the DLC, Choi did attach two links to the tweet that led to a new song and a piece of concept art.

Choi’s letter did make mention of Lies of P’s sequel, but nothing concrete is known about it beyond the brief tease at the end of Lies of P. Interestingly, a recent Neowiz job listing hinted that Lies of P’s sequel could be open world, but this has yet to be confirmed. As for Lies of P’s DLC, it unfortunately doesn’t look to be making its late 2024 window. Fans will hopefully have a better idea of the content’s release window before the end of the year.
