Marathon PC System Requirements Announced

The minimum system requirements shared by Bungie cover hardware sufficient to run the game at basic settings:

Minimum System Requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Graphics Card: GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB) / RX 5500 XT (4 GB)

These components are still found in many gamers’ systems, making Marathon’s entry-level system quite accessible.

For those who want a smoother and more stable experience, the recommended system requirements are as follows:

Recommended System Requirements

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: GTX 2060 (6 GB) / RX 5700 XT (8 GB)

The fact that most of the recommended hardware is from the 2019–2020 period shows that Bungie has consciously kept the hardware barrier low. This approach also aligns with Marathon’s stylized visuals.

Compared to similar extraction shooters, Marathon’s PC requirements are quite reasonable. The fact that it doesn’t require high RAM or a current-level graphics card is a significant advantage that could allow the game to reach a much wider player base on PC.
