Marvel Maximum Collection Release Date Announced
Limited Run Games has announced the release date for Marvel Maxium Collection, a collection bringing together classic Marvel games. First announced during IGN Fan Fest 2026, the collection makes many iconic games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras playable on modern platforms. According to the announcement, Marvel Maxium Collection aims to adapt classic Marvel games to modern systems with both nostalgic content and new features.
What Games are Included in Marvel Maxium Collection?
According to information shared by Limited Run Games, Marvel Maxium Collection will be released on March 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The digital version will be released on the same day. Pre-orders for the physical version will also begin on March 27 and continue until May 24, 2026.
The collection includes a total of 13 classic Marvel games. These include classic Marvel titles such as X-Men: The Arcade Game, Captain America and the Avengers, Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage, Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety, Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge, and Silver Surfer. Some games are included with different console versions.
The collection includes not only classic games but also new features adapted to modern platforms. For example, X-Men: The Arcade Game now supports 6-player online multiplayer and rollback netcode. This feature aims to combine the classic arcade experience with today’s online infrastructure.
In addition, the collection includes various extra features. Players can browse original box designs, instruction manuals, and promotional materials through the Archive feature. Modern conveniences such as a music player, rewind, save states, and a cheat menu for some games have also been added to the collection.
