Set in a post-Soviet apocalyptic world, PIONER offers an aesthetic inspired by series like STALKER and Fallout. The presence of developers involved in previous STALKER projects on the game’s development team further reinforces this similarity. Elements such as anomalies, the use of scanners, and the mechanic of triggering traps by throwing scrap metal demonstrate that this inspiration is reflected in the gameplay. Nevertheless, the game strives to build an identity based on these similarities through its own systems and world design.
PIONER promises a versatile structure.
