Independent productions sometimes produce quite ambitious projects. Samson: A Tyndalston Story seems to be exactly one of these games. The newly released gameplay trailer puts players in control of a character living in debt. Set in the crime-ridden streets of the city, Samson: A Tyndalston Story aims to offer fast-paced gameplay based on both melee combat and vehicle use.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story Combines Combat and Vehicle Mechanics

The first thing that stands out in the new gameplay trailer is the combat system. Samson’s bare-knuckle fights look quite brutal. The character can enter a “rage” mode at certain moments, unleashing more powerful attacks on opponents. However, the developer’s approach is quite clear: not every fight in the game will be fair.

Therefore, using the objects around you becomes a crucial part of the game. A key, a piece of metal, or any object you can get your hands on can be thrown at opponents. Some conflicts are designed to be difficult to win, requiring the player to sometimes retreat or try different methods.

Another notable aspect of the game is vehicle handling. The trailer shows that vehicle collisions are quite severe. Cars can flip over after heavy impacts, and the damage model appears to be quite detailed. The development team specifically emphasizes that “every impact matters.”

Samson: A Tyndalston Story will also offer players different mission types. There are eight different job types in the game, and these missions can take place in more than thirty different arenas in the city. Set in Tyndalston, a city inspired by Philadelphia and 90s New York, the game will be released on April 8th for PC and will be priced at approximately $25.
