TerraTech Legion’s New Achievement Lasts a Full 7,000 Hours
Difficult achievements are nothing new in the gaming world, but TerraTech Legion may have raised the bar a little too high. The new Bullet Heaven game stands out with an achievement that demands players eliminate an incredible number of enemies. At first glance, this task seems like a classic “long-term goal,” but according to calculations, it could take between 6,000 and 7,000 hours.
TerraTech Legion Achievement Will Test Players’ Patience
The achievement in TerraTech Legion is ironically called “A Good Start.” However, it would be a big mistake to think this is a small starting task based on the name. The achievement demands that players eliminate a total of 100,000,000 Legion bots of any type. Yes, you read that right; a whopping 100 million enemies. While this number alone is daunting, the real question is how much time this will take in practice.
According to calculations on the TrueAchievements forums, an average run takes about 32 minutes and 36 seconds, during which players achieve an average of 8,824 kills. At this pace, reaching the achievement could take approximately 6,150 hours. A different calculation on Reddit suggests that players reach 1 million kills in about 67.5 hours. Based on this rate, the total time increases to approximately 6,750 hours.
When we translate these figures to real-world situations, the situation becomes even more absurd. Someone playing 2 hours a day could reach this achievement in about 9 years. Playing 8 hours a day would still take over 2 years. Theoretically, even a player who plays non-stop for 24 hours a day could reach this goal in 281 days. And all this is rewarded with only 50 Gamerscore.
Of course, it’s true that not every player needs to unlock every achievement. However, for achievement hunters, these kinds of goals can become a serious obsession. TerraTech Legion’s 100 million enemy requirement feels less like a challenging task and more like a design that disregards the player’s time. Difficult achievements are nice, but this one is a bit like “grind life, not the game.”
