The Long-Awaited Next-Generation Version of Ghost Recon Wildlands is Approaching

The store page, which was removed shortly after, shows that the return of the game will not be limited to just increased resolution and frame rate.
What Will Ghost Recon Wildlands Next-Generation Offer?
According to information accidentally leaked on the PlayStation Store, the next-generation version may be released today, August 6th, as a surprise. Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon 25th anniversary event, which will be held on the same day, strongly strengthens this possibility. The company has not yet confirmed the release date, but the fact that the game will be available for free trial between August 6th and 10th suggests that the announcement and release may coincide.
The most notable aspect of the new version is that it’s not just a technical upgrade. A free story pack called Last Rites will also be added to the game with the update. There aren’t many details about the mission’s plot yet, but it’s sure to be a pleasant surprise for players who have been waiting for new story content for years.
Technically, it will include 4K resolution, 60 FPS support, various quality-of-life improvements, and new cosmetic content. Adaptive triggers are also expected to be supported in the PlayStation 5 version. While features like faster loading times and 3D audio have been mentioned, these aren’t confirmed yet as they weren’t directly included in the removed store description.
Those who own the digital PlayStation 4 version of the game will be able to upgrade to PlayStation 5 for free. Those who own a physical copy will need to insert the disc into their console to download and play the new version.
