There is Another Hidden Universe Within Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert has recently come back into the spotlight thanks to an interesting detail discovered by players. A bug in the game allows the character to reach heights they wouldn’t normally be able to access and even go beyond the map’s boundaries. While this initially seems like a simple glitch, the resulting scenery has surprised everyone.

It’s Possible to Go to Space in Crimson Desert

With this bug discovered by players, it became possible to essentially launch the character into space. By exceeding the map’s limits and going beyond the atmosphere, players unexpectedly encountered a highly detailed space landscape. Stars, the curvature of the Earth, and even galactic views resembling the Milky Way show that this part of the game has been meticulously crafted.

The most surprising aspect of this is that the game’s normal gameplay has no connection to space whatsoever. So, it’s possible that such detailed visuals weren’t even intended for players to see. Nevertheless, the quality of the images clearly demonstrates how far the development team went in creating the world. While many games present distorted textures when venturing outside the map, here, on the contrary, an impressive scene unfolds.

Behind this visual spectacle is Pearl Abyss’s custom game engine. This technology, called BlackSpace Engine, can render not only the surface of the game but also its hidden areas in detail. This once again proves how technically ambitious Crimson Desert is.

Although this bug has now been fixed, the resulting images have greatly expanded players’ imaginations. Because this detail shows just how much potential the game actually has. Who knows, perhaps this “hidden world” is even a small hint for future content.
