Will Jesse Faden be Playable in Control Resonant?

New information continues to emerge about Control Resonant. Remedy Entertainment’s new game, which expands the Control universe, is generating great interest, especially in terms of its story and character roster. The brief appearances of both Dylan Faden and Jesse Faden in the released trailers raised questions among players about whether Jesse would be playable.

Control Resonant Will Not Make Jesse Faden Playable

Remedy Entertainment’s statement clarified these discussions. In an interview, the studio’s communications director, Thomas Puha, confirmed that Jesse Faden will not be a playable character in the game.

According to Puha, Control Resonant will tell a story entirely focused on Dylan Faden’s experience. While Jesse Faden will play a significant role in the story, players won’t be able to directly control him. This statement also dispelled the expectations created by Jesse’s appearance in the trailers.

Remedy also shared some details about the game’s gameplay. It’s stated that Control Resonant won’t be a soulslike game, but rather a melee-focused action-RPG experience. The game will feature different abilities and attack combinations, but parry mechanics will be absent.

Jesse Faden, a beloved character from the Control universe, is expected to have a significant role in the story. However, this time players will largely experience events from Dylan Faden’s perspective. Remedy’s approach shows its aim to expand the Control universe from a different point of view.
