AMD RX 9070 Launch Breaks Records

AMD has achieved significant success with the launch of its RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards. The company stated that the high demand experienced during the launch was “unprecedented” and that the first shipments sold out quickly. AMD also announced that they have accelerated their supply chain to meet this demand and aim to bring more products to market.

The RX 9070 series, which features the RDNA 4 architecture, aims to increase AMD’s competitiveness in the graphics card market. AMD official David McAfee explained that the RX 9070 launch saw great demand in every price segment. It is stated that the RDNA 4 series in particular offers a significant improvement in price-performance balance compared to previous generations. However, it was also emphasized that many retailers experienced stock shortages due to high demand.

AMD plans to solve supply problems by increasing production of the RX 9070 series. McAfee said, “Our primary goal is to replenish our partners’ stocks and ensure that users can access these cards at the prices they expect.” It was stated that some retailers increased prices due to the high demand experienced on the launch day, and that AMD is focusing on the supply chain to control this situation.

AMD also touched on its future plans for Ryzen processors. The company is evaluating the potential to develop processors with a dual 3D V-Cache CCD design. However, it was announced that this design is not currently offered to a wide range of users due to its high cost. It was stated that AMD plans to expand the Ryzen series with higher core counts in both gaming and content production areas.

AMD aims to reach a wider user base in the graphics and processor market with RDNA 4 and Ryzen products. The success of the RX 9070 series provides an important foundation for the company’s future launches.
