Normally, the standard version of the game costs $80, while the Ultimate Edition costs $100. However, the player completely eliminated this cost by converting the points they had accumulated over the years into Xbox gift cards.

Microsoft Rewards earns users points for various activities. These include searching on Bing, making purchases through the Microsoft Store or Xbox, completing daily tasks, and participating in Xbox Game Pass missions. However, there’s a catch: acquiring a high-value game through this system isn’t possible with just a few days of effort.

The player in question reportedly accumulated these points over approximately three years. Another player is said to be working towards the same goal, accumulating 100,000 Microsoft Rewards points to obtain a $100 Xbox gift card. So, while theoretically it’s possible to pre-order GTA 6 without paying, it clearly requires considerable patience and consistent effort.

This method might not be practical for everyone, but it offers an interesting option for players who actively use the Xbox ecosystem. Especially in times of rising game prices, systems like Microsoft Rewards can become a small but valuable advantage for regular users.
