A Big Success From Baldur’s Gate 3
Since the launch of the game, Larian Studios kept Baldur’s Gate 3 updated and fixed the game as much as they can and made Baldur’s Gate 3 amazing experience for players who enjoy RPG, D&D games. That success also bring a lot of awards to studio, Baldur’s Gate 3 earned countless awards at the end of year.
The latest sales milestone for Baldur’s Gate 3 was revealed in a Twitter thread posted by Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian Studios. As part of a discussion regarding the game’s community team and Larian’s communication with fans, Douse revealed that the game has sold “way over” 10 million copies.
There’s little doubting that the game’s popular acclaim played a role in getting to that number, since Baldur’s Gate 3 even returned to the top of sales charts months after its full release.

The information about Baldur’s Gate 3 sales numbers came as part of Douse’s larger point, which had to do with community communication. Douse was speaking of the sheer speed with which the game’s player base grew since it launched after a period of nearly three years in Early Access. Douse warned against the toxicity directed at the Baldur’s Gate 3 community team and developers at Larian Studios.
We all knew that Baldur’s Gate 3 is such a popular game since it’s launch and there is no doubt that this affects sales as well. We can’t say that Baldur’s Gate 3 is a perfectly stable game, Larian Studios keeps releasing hotfixes for the game but still it’s suffers from some stability issues. Considering that Baldur’s Gate 3 will also get official mod support, we can say that Larian Studios will keep working on the game for a while.
