You Can Put Guile’s Hair on Your Head and Eat Popcorn from Inside

Guile, with his iconic hairstyle that has remained unchanged for years, is one of the most easily recognizable characters from the Street Fighter series. Now, AMC Theatres has transformed this hairstyle into a popcorn bucket that can be worn directly on the head for the upcoming Street Fighter movie. The product, promoted by Cody Rhodes, looks like Guile’s straight, blonde hair from the outside, but the top is left completely open. So you can actually wear it on your head and eat popcorn from it.

Guile’s Hair Becomes a Popcorn Bucket This Time

The AMC-exclusive design is made of hard plastic and comes with a chin strap to keep it on the head. In the commercial, Cody Rhodes wears the bucket on his head while Noah Centineo and Callina Liang take popcorn directly from inside the “hair.” The fact that the product is specifically designed to be wearable takes it a little beyond classic movie promotions.

A Street Fighter-themed dog tag will also be included with the bucket. However, AMC hasn’t yet announced the price of the product or how much popcorn it will contain. Given that a wearable Shao Kahn helmet bucket sold for $42.95 in the past and offered an 85-ounce capacity, a similar price range is expected.

Other movie chains are opting for more classic items. Regal and some theaters are selling a Guile bust-shaped bucket for $39.95, while Cinemark has an arcade cabinet design for $29.99 and Chun-Li and Ryu mugs for $19.95.

The new Street Fighter movie will be released on October 16th, with ticket sales starting September 21st. Cody Rhodes, in the role of Guile, will be joined by Roman Reigns, Jason Momoa, 50 Cent, David Dastmalchian, and Andrew Koji. The film may already have one of its most memorable promotional items even before its release.
