The second season of the series concluded on March 29, 2025, and in July 2026, it was announced that the next project would be the Solo Leveling: Beyond the System movie. However, new information suggests that the film is not replacing the third season and that the TV anime will continue separately.
When Will Solo Leveling Season 3 Be Released?
For now, there is no definitive release date for Solo Leveling season 3. The inclusion of a separate investment item for the third season in D&C Media’s investment report published in June 2026 indicates that the project is planned independently of the Beyond the System film. The report states that the target release period is between 2027 and 2028.
The confusing part is that Crunchyroll initially shared the Beyond the System trailer under the title “Season 3: The Movie,” a title they later quietly removed. The fact that Aniplex and other official channels haven’t promoted the film as a third season reinforces the idea that Beyond the System is a separate project.
The Beyond the System film is scheduled for release in 2027, but a definite date hasn’t been announced yet. Therefore, a third season release in the same year seems unlikely. Considering the current calendar and investment report, 2027-2028 appears to be the most likely timeframe, although this date hasn’t been officially confirmed.
The continuation of the story is also uncertain. The third season could retell the episodes covered in the film in a TV format, or it could directly move on to later storylines like the International Guild Conference and Monarchs War. For now, what’s certain is that the Solo Leveling universe won’t end with the Beyond the System film, and work on a third season is planned.
