In Battlefield 6, the debate this time focuses on the new Bonus Battle Pass system. Players are saying that this extra progression path, accessible during the holiday season, is designed in a way that cannot be completed with normal gameplay time, making extra spending almost mandatory.
Why is the Battlefield 6 Bonus Battle Pass Drawing Criticism?
The Bonus Battle Pass path, exclusive to BF Pro subscribers, is only accessible for a short period of about a week. During this time, players can progress through a special reward chain that can only be accessed with Bonus Path points. However, the amount of points that can be earned by completing the current weekly tasks is not enough to unlock all stages. This makes the system limited from the start.
According to players’ calculations, even completing all current weekly tasks only yields approximately 30 Bonus Path points in total. However, completing the entire Bonus Battle Pass requires 100 points. Each stage costs 10 points, allowing for only about one-third of the progression through natural gameplay. The lack of an alternative path to earning the remaining rewards effectively locks the system in.
At this point, only one option remains: purchasing stage skips. Players feel they are being forced to spend money again to access all the content, even though they have already purchased the Battle Pass. Unless the time limit is extended or additional tasks are added, completing the entire Bonus Battle Pass for free seems virtually impossible.
The general consensus within the community is that this system was deliberately designed to exploit FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). The short timeframe, limited tasks, and lack of alternative progression paths have created significant dissatisfaction, particularly among loyal Battlefield 6 players. Many players have openly stated that they may stop purchasing Battle Passes in future seasons after this experience.
