Could Man of Tomorrow be James Gunn’s Best Film?

Man of Tomorrow continues to be one of the most anticipated films for DC fans. This time, a noteworthy statement about the film, directed by James Gunn, came from Jennifer Holland, who plays Emilia Harcourt in the Peacemaker series. The actress, who said she has seen a large portion of the film, believes that even though it’s not yet complete, it could be James Gunn’s most successful work to date.

Expectations Rise for Man of Tomorrow

In an interview, Jennifer Holland said she had the opportunity to see a large part of Man of Tomorrow and was quite impressed by what she saw. The famous actress stated that the film is her personal favorite among James Gunn’s works, saying, “I haven’t even seen the whole thing yet, but I really loved it. In my opinion, it’s reached a new level in many ways.”

Of course, Holland’s comments can’t be considered entirely unbiased. After all, being James Gunn’s wife, her opinions are naturally expected to be viewed positively. However, these strong comments, coming even before filming is complete, have only raised expectations.

On the other hand, Holland said she knows Emilia Harcourt won’t be in Man of Tomorrow, but she’s open to a future appearance on the big screen. While there’s no official plan for the character’s return yet, the actress stated she’s maintaining her form for a potential offer.

The film’s story will focus on Superman and Lex Luthor unexpectedly joining forces against the Brainiac threat. David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and Rachel Brosnahan will return, and Aaron Pierre will reprise his role as John Stewart. Furthermore, it remains a mystery whether Adria Arjona’s character is Maxima or the long-rumored Wonder Woman.

Man of Tomorrow will be released in theaters on July 9, 2027. Recent announcements from DC Studios and the excitement among cast members suggest the film will already be one of the most talked-about superhero movies of 2027.
