Daredevil: Born Again garnered significant attention with its first season, both for integrating Marvel series from the Netflix era into the MCU and for its grand finale. The season concluded with Matt Murdock forming a new team against the Kingpin, further fueling anticipation for the second season. Fans were delighted that the series would continue on an annual basis following Marvel’s decision to reduce its annual season gaps. However, the latest development raises the possibility that this plan could be disrupted.
Daredevil: Born Again Release Date Uncertain
Disney’s press website’s removal of the “March 4, 2026” listing for Daredevil: Born Again’s second season has raised questions among viewers eagerly awaiting the series. The website’s mere “Releasing in 2026” is noteworthy for pushing back a date, even without an official postponement announcement. Such meticulous updating of press archives is often interpreted as the first sign of an impending change.
However, the fact that other official sources still list the release date as “March 2026” further adds to the confusion. Even the Disney+ app still displays the phrase “Season 2 Coming March 2026,” making it unclear whether the studio is still committed to this schedule. Some fans argue that this could simply be a technical update on the press website.
One of the most important points for those who believe the likelihood of a delay is low is that production on the second season has progressed much more smoothly than the first. While the first season underwent a major creative reshuffle, filming for the new season is known to have completed as planned. Furthermore, the release of the first official image showing Matt Murdock’s new black costume last month was another development that suggested the series was on schedule.
Marvel’s television division recently announced that they intended to release Daredevil: Born Again on an annual schedule. Brad Winderbaum stated that the series is scheduled to return with a new season every March. Therefore, if a postponement is indeed on the cards, it could be due to a larger internal change of plans affecting Marvel’s new strategy.
