The last time fans were given a glimpse at a new Death Stranding 2 trailer was back in February during a PlayStation State of Play livestream. While fans were hoping to see Death Stranding 2 appear at Gamescom, Kojima Productions has now confirmed that it will be attending Tokyo Game Show 2024 to host a special panel for its upcoming sequel. Although it is currently unknown whether or not a new gameplay trailer will be revealed during the panel, the one hour slot will give attendees a front row seat to “the latest update in the development” of Death Stranding 2. Alongside game director Hideo Kojima, the panel will feature plenty of special guests, including Japanese singer-songwriter Daichi Miura.

While the upcoming sequel will once again be exclusive to PlayStation, the studio is also working on an Xbox exclusive horror game known as OD. Not much is known about the project, but it did receive a short teaser trailer during 2023’s Tokyo Game Show. As for Kojima’s third project, it was announced in January that the studio is working on a new action-espionage game in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment. With Death Stranding 2 at the forefront of Kojima Productions, development on its new action-espionage game won’t begin until the sequel has been released.
