Duet Night Abyss Update Found to Be Infected with Virus

The latest update for Duet Night Abyss was found to contain a keylogger software called “Umbral Stealer.” This malware is said to be able to record users’ keyboard input, thereby allowing the theft of sensitive data such as account information.

The source of the problem is said to be the game’s independent update system, and it was reported that Windows users were particularly affected. Warnings received by players from Windows Defender and similar security software revealed that the incident was a widespread security vulnerability. The development team announced that the attack had been detected and the necessary intervention had been made.

Following the incident, the development team announced that in-game rewards would be distributed to players. According to the information shared, these rewards include the free provision of certain in-game content. However, since the attack directly targeted user data, many players have taken precautions regarding account security.

It was also stated that Duet Night Abyss is a gacha game available on Windows, Android, and iOS platforms and has reached over 1 million registered users since its release. Furthermore, it was mentioned that a similar security vulnerability had previously occurred through the update system.
