Elden Ring Broke Sales Record

FromSoftware’s legendary game Elden Ring has reached a major sales milestone by selling 28.6 million copies worldwide. This success was achieved thanks to the game’s strong story and innovative gameplay, while the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, released in June 2024, also played a significant role in the increase in sales.

Elden Ring’s Path to Success

Elden Ring has been taking the gaming world by storm since its release in February 2022. The game, which particularly stands out by surpassing the total sales of the Dark Souls series by 27 million, has sold 28.6 million copies according to the latest data.

One of the most important factors that solidified the game’s success was the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which was released last June. While sales were at 25 million before the DLC was released, there has been an increase of 3.6 million in the last six months.

The success of the Elden Ring series is not limited to the main game. According to the statement made at The Game Awards 2024, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are working on a new spin-off game called Elden Ring: Nightreign. This co-op action-adventure game is preparing to offer a different experience to fans of the series.

Nightreign is planned to be released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms in 2025. This game, which will bring a new breath to the Elden Ring universe, will further increase the popularity of the series.

Thanks to Elden Ring’s story depth, challenging gameplay mechanics and impressive graphics, sales graphics continue to rise rapidly. With the arrival of Nightreign, it seems that the Elden Ring universe will maintain its popularity and make a name for itself in the gaming world in 2025.
