First Details have Emerged for the Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC

Although Resident Evil Requiem has been completed by a large portion of players since its release, some aspects of the story are still unresolved. Therefore, attention has naturally turned to future additional content. Now, initial statements from Capcom indicate that activity has begun on the DLC front.

Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC Still in Development

It has been officially confirmed that the planned story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem is actively being developed. In an interview, game director Kosuke Nakanishi (also known as Akishi Nakanishi) and producer Masato Kumazawa stated that this content is in the production process but they cannot share details at this time.

First Details have Emerged for the Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC

Capcom seems to be proceeding quite cautiously at this point. While the amount of information shared is limited, this statement alone clarifies that the DLC is not in the planning stage but directly in the development process. So, the content is certain, but when and how it will arrive remains unclear for now.

According to leaked information, this story DLC was initially planned for earlier release. However, due to changes in the game’s release schedule, the DLC has reportedly been pushed back. Therefore, a timeframe of late 2026 or 2027 is being discussed. Considering Capcom is working on multiple Resident Evil projects simultaneously, this delay isn’t surprising.

The main question for players is what the story will cover. Whether there will be new developments regarding Leon S. Kennedy, and how characters like Claire or Ada will be included, are already being discussed. If the content addresses the questions left by Resident Evil Requiem, this DLC could be a significant addition to the series’ story.
