Forza Horizon 6 is Giving Away Free Cars to All Players
Forza Horizon 6 continues to keep players in a festive mood with its post-launch content and online modes. However, an unexpected problem in one of the game’s popular competitive modes quickly turned into a serious bug affecting the economy. Playground Games announced that they will offer players a compensation gift following this process.
Forza Horizon 6 Players to Receive McLaren Sabre Gift
The problem centers around The Eliminator mode. This mode is known as an online event where players compete head-to-head and the last competitor standing wins. However, a bug discovered last week allowed some players to earn millions of Credits through this mode. As a result, the in-game economy quickly became unstable.
The exploit was particularly noticeable in the Auction House. The system experienced unusual activity as some players rapidly put expensive vehicles on the market. As a result, Playground Games temporarily disabled The Eliminator mod. It’s unclear when the mod will return, but the development team aims to reopen it as soon as possible with a hotfix.
As compensation, all Forza Horizon 6 players will receive a 2021 McLaren Sabre as a gift. The vehicle can be claimed via the Gifts section in the Message Center after The Eliminator mod is restored. Since the bug was attributed to the developer, players who exploited it will not face severe penalties.
Instead, accounts linked to the exploit will have their credits reduced to a maximum of 10 million Credits. However, some players claim that Credits were deducted from their balances even though they didn’t directly exploit the bug. Playground Games has not yet commented on these claims. For now, the clearest information is that all players will receive a free McLaren Sabre and that The Eliminator will return in a fixed version.
