Genshin Impact 5.3 Special Program
The upcoming Genshin Impact patch is one of the most exciting patches of Genshin Impact 5.X patches since it will conclude the story of Natlan and release brand new two 5* characters along with one 4* character but also will cover Lantern Rite event which is about Chinese New year. The Lantern Rite will take place in the second half of Version 5.3, and Genshin Impact players will be able to obtain a total of 20 Intertwined Wishes for free via login rewards and the in game mail system.
They will also be able to invite a free Liyue 4 Star character of their choice, including Lan Yan. The controversial Chronicled Wish from Version 4.5 is also set to make an appearance in Version 5.3, this time featuring Liyue characters who haven’t had a rerun in a while, such as Shenhe and Ganyu. The Lantern Rite event will also reveal new skins for Hu Tao and Xiangling.
The developer livestream showcased combat and exploration gameplay of the upcoming Genshin Impact characters. While Mavuika is primarily a hypercarry, players can also use the Pyro Archon as an off-fielder in a similar vein to Raiden Shogun. On the other hand, Citlali will be the game’s third 5-Star Shield Support, providing a Cryo Shield to the active character, dealing off-field Cryo damage, and granting buffs to Pyro and Hydro damage by triggering Melt or Freeze reactions, respectively.
On the other hand, Event wishes for the Version 5.3 will be Citlali and Mavuika first half and Arlecchino and Clorinde will be second half along with new 4* character Lan Yan. The livestream teased future Genshin Impact characters, and though players could only see their silhouettes. Travelers will meet them in upcoming patches and most likely they will be playable in future updates.
The developers also took time to tease Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact, though players will need to wait a bit longer for footage of Nod-Krai and the seventh playable region of Teyvat. Version 5.3 is set to launch on January 1, 2025.
