God of War Remastered on the Way?

As the 20th anniversary of the God of War series approaches, rumors have surfaced of a remastered collection of the series’ older games. PlayStation will allegedly remaster the Greek mythology-era God of War games for modern platforms.

God of War Remastered Rumors

According to the latest information, the God of War Remastered Collection will include the series’ games based on Greek mythology. This rumor stems from a Discord thread by “Lunatic Ignus” and claims that the collection will include beloved titles such as God of War, God of War II, Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta and Ascension. The project is reportedly in development at developer studio Nixxes and will be announced in March 2025 as part of the 20th anniversary of the series.

These games, which will be playable on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms, could breathe new life into the series. However, there are doubts about the accuracy of this information as there is no official statement from PlayStation yet.

PlayStation has been taking steps to remastered or remake old games recently. However, it’s still unclear whether the God of War Remastered Collection rumor will come true. If this project comes to fruition, it would be a great opportunity for both old fans and new generations of gamers to revive the old games of the series for the 20th anniversary.
