The image shared by the White House uses a design reminiscent of the pink and purple tones of the GTA 6 cover. Donald Trump appears in different frames in the image, and the slogan “Make America Great Again” is rendered in a style reminiscent of the series’ classic font. The text accompanying the post uses a phrase meaning “We saved America before GTA 6.”

This post quickly sparked a barrage of comments from game and political users on social media. While some interpreted it as an attempt to adapt to current internet humor, others found it strange that an official government account would use popular gaming culture in this way. The fact that the GTA series has been satirizing American culture and politics for years made the post even more ironic.

Rockstar Games, on the other hand, has remained remarkably silent regarding this political reference. The company announced that pre-orders for GTA 6 will begin on June 25th and the game will be released on November 19th, 2026. Pricing and special edition information have still not been revealed.
