Leafborn Mimics the Visual Language of GTA 6 Leaks
Recently, GTA 6 leaks shared by CyberLeek continue to spread on social media with new videos almost daily. These images are often shared with prominent watermarks, large text, and QR codes redirecting to CyberLeek’s website. The Leafborn team decided to use this visual language in their own advertising.
The shared promotional image features the game’s main character alongside the phrase “wishlist Leafborn on Steam.” The image also includes a QR code, similar to those used in CyberLeek’s leaks, which directs users directly to Leafborn’s official website. The team is also humorously mimicking phrases used in CyberLeek’s own messages.
The real power of this marketing ploy lies in instantly making a visual style already familiar to millions recognizable. While it would normally be difficult for a small independent game to gain such widespread attention, Leafborn has used the hype surrounding GTA 6 to increase its visibility.
It’s not yet known how directly this move has impacted sales or wishlist numbers, but the approach is certainly noteworthy. While leaks continue to pose a serious problem for Rockstar, a small independent studio seems to have turned the same chaos into an opportunity. This makes Leafborn one of the first games to directly transform GTA 6 leaks into an advertising campaign.
