Leon and Sheva Could Meet in the Same Game
In the Resident Evil series, some characters shine in one game and then disappear for a long time. Sheva Alomar is exactly one of those characters. Although Resident Evil 5 isn’t considered among the most beloved games in the series, the character of Sheva managed to stay in the minds of players. Now, a statement from Nick Apostolides, the voice actor synonymous with Leon Kennedy, has revived a possibility that Resident Evil fans have been speculating about for some time.
A Leon and Sheva Partnership for Resident Evil is on the Agenda
In a podcast he participated in, Nick Apostolides gave a very clear answer when asked which of the characters Leon hasn’t yet teamed up with in the main series he would like to team up with. According to Apostolides, Sheva Alomar is one of the characters in the series that needs to be re-evaluated and hasn’t been used enough. He even explicitly stated that it would be “very cool” to see Leon and Sheva side-by-side in the same game.
This announcement naturally caught the attention of fans because Sheva has only appeared in Resident Evil 5 so far. Despite this, the character’s impact on the series remains strong. Especially in that game, where the co-op aspect was prominent, Sheva felt less like a companion and more like a truly important part of the story. Therefore, she remains one of the characters whose return has been desired for years.
On the other hand, Leon has a much broader history within the series. So, a pairing of a well-established character like Leon with a less-used but beloved character could create a truly fresh atmosphere. Moreover, Capcom seems more eager to bring back older characters lately. This makes the theory less of a fantasy.
For now, there’s no official announcement, and this is simply a pairing that Apostolides might want to see. But frankly, the idea of Leon and Sheva together in the same game sounds really strong. If Capcom ever brings these two together in the same story, it could be a very exciting return for fans of the series.
