Marvel’s Wolverine has Captivated PlayStation Players

Marvel’s Wolverine faced more controversial review scores than expected before its release. However, the game is now in the hands of players, and user ratings starting to appear on the PlayStation Store present a very different picture from the critics’ scores. Of course, we are still in the early days of release, so it is important to remember that these numbers may change over time.

Marvel’s Wolverine Receives Near 5-Star Ratings from Players

According to PlayStation Store data, at the time of writing, Marvel’s Wolverine has received 4.84/5 stars from approximately 6,400 user reviews. This translates to approximately 96.8 points on a 100-point system. In other words, the majority of players are currently giving the game scores very close to a perfect score.

The picture on the critics’ side is quite different. Marvel’s Wolverine has a Metacritic score of 77 based on 117 reviews. There’s a significant difference of about 20 points.

However, one should approach PlayStation Store scores with some caution. Users don’t need to finish the game to leave a review; players who have purchased the game can give scores even at a very early stage. Therefore, the current high average may fluctuate up or down in the coming weeks due to the initial excitement.

In Insomniac’s new game, Logan confronts his Team X past again, traveling to different regions such as Canada, Japan, and Madripoor. The intense melee combat system is also one of the most talked-about aspects of the game. For now, it seems that despite some criticisms, Marvel’s Wolverine has greatly pleased the majority of PlayStation players.
