PlayStation Plus Says Goodbye to 8 Games in October
PlayStation Plus continues to add new games to its library each month while also parting ways with some titles. The October “Last Chance to Play” list has been updated, revealing that a total of eight games will be removed from the Game Catalog. Considering some of the titles on the list, those with unfinished games don’t have much time left.
PlayStation Plus to Remove 8 Games from Catalog on October 20th
According to Sony’s updated list, eight titles will leave the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on October 20, 2026. The most notable game on the list is undoubtedly Silent Hill 2. Alongside this highly popular psychological horror title, a long-running RPG like Yakuza: Like a Dragon is also preparing to leave the catalog.

- Silent Hill 2
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Death Squared
- Rogue Lords
- Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition
- Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition
- Lake
Those planning to start Silent Hill 2 may need to hurry. The game’s removal from the catalog coincides very closely with the release of the new game in the series, Silent Hill: Townfall. The situation is a bit more problematic with Yakuza: Like a Dragon; since it’s not a short weekend adventure, those planning to finish it might want to adjust their schedules now.
Of course, having downloaded the games before they’re removed from PlayStation Plus doesn’t preserve access. Once the game leaves the Game Catalog, the subscription to play it also ends; those who want to continue will need to purchase the game. Since there’s about a month until October 20th, if you have your eye on any of the games on the list, it’s best not to postpone playing them for too long.
