New Details have Emerged About the 007 First Light Characters
New information from the development team for 007 First Light provides important clues about the game’s story. In the latest episode of IO Interactive’s behind-the-scenes video series, “Beyond the Light,” noteworthy details were shared regarding the cast of characters and their relationship with James Bond.
How is the 007 First Light Character Cast Taking Shape?
The development team specifically emphasizes that the game centers around a young James Bond story. In this game, Bond will appear as an agent at the beginning of his career, and we will see how his character develops through his first missions within MI6. According to IO Interactive, players will not only experience an agent story but also how Bond gradually transforms into the cool-headed and charismatic agent we know today.
In the game, the characters surrounding Bond will play a significant role in his development. Classic characters from the series, M, Q, and Miss Moneypenny, will appear with new interpretations. It’s noted that M, in particular, is designed as a younger and more ambitious leader in this version. Moneypenny, meanwhile, goes beyond her classic secretary role, positioning herself as an analyst who actively supports Bond in his missions.
The game also features entirely new characters. One of them, Greenway, is described as a kind of mentor figure for Bond. However, the character’s distant and sometimes critical approach towards Bond seems to create an interesting dynamic in the story.
Of course, a Bond story isn’t complete without a strong villain. The game will also feature a new antagonist named Bawma. The development team says they aim for this character to be an unforgettable rival for Bond. According to IO Interactive, Bond’s identity will be shaped not only by his own journey but also by the people he encounters.
