One Million ARC Raiders Players Reset Their Accounts

ARC Raiders, which has managed to become one of the most talked-about games in the extraction genre since its release, is back in the spotlight with a surprising statistic regarding player habits. Recent information shared by the development team shows that a large number of players are consciously choosing to start from scratch thanks to an optional mechanic added to the game.

ARC Raiders Expedition Project Receives More Interest Than Expected

The first “Expedition Project” for ARC Raiders, launched at the end of December, allowed players to reset their accounts and enter a completely new gameplay cycle. This system allows players to leave the map and complete a special escape process, returning to the game with a new character, and is planned to be repeated every few months.

The development team, Embark Studios, recently confirmed that over one million players have tried the system. Given the game’s estimated 12 million players, this represents approximately 8% of the total player base. The fact that so many players chose to delete their accounts, even though it wasn’t mandatory, clearly shows the system’s appeal.

However, Expedition Project wasn’t attractive to everyone. The high requirements, particularly in the final stages, caused some players to withdraw. The requirement to reach five million credits in the inventory to unlock five free skill points was one of the most criticized aspects within the community.

Emberk Studios acknowledges this feedback and states that they are evaluating the system thoroughly. According to their analysis, only 35-40% of players who participated in Expedition Project were able to obtain all the rewards. The development team has indicated that changes may be made in the future to make the process more balanced and accessible.
