Raccoon City was shown in the Resident Evil Requiem NVIDIA video

As the release date approaches, new details about Resident Evil Requiem continue to emerge. This time, the spotlight is on NVIDIA. A newly released technology video offers the first clear glimpse of Raccoon City, one of the series’ iconic locations, and clearly reveals the game’s technical ambitions.

Raccoon City, Darker and More Realistic with NVIDIA DLSS 4

The 4K Path Tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 4-supported trailer for Resident Evil Requiem showcases Raccoon City’s dark and eerie atmosphere in short but impactful scenes. The footage features Grace walking through the city streets, with the lighting and shadow details being particularly noteworthy.

Thanks to Path Tracing technology, shadows created by multiple light sources in the city, reflections on glass surfaces, and light refraction are rendered much more naturally. This makes Raccoon City feel both more vibrant and more menacing. According to NVIDIA, this technical structure significantly elevates the game’s visual realism beyond previous Resident Evil games.

Another noteworthy detail on the technical side is that the game will be playable via GeForce Now on release day. This allows players to access performance equivalent to a GeForce RTX 5080 with DLSS 4 enabled via the cloud. Extensive PC optimization promises a more stable experience for players with different hardware configurations.

This new presentation of Raccoon City clearly shows that Resident Evil Requiem is not just relying on nostalgia, but aims to advance the series technically and atmospherically. The game will be released on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
